We begin celebrating our bilingual Divine Liturgy at 10:30am. Each service will be followed by our coffee hour and everyone is invited. We look forward to serving our community and hope you will all spread the word to the Romanian community and as well as invite others who are searching for a church home to be a part of.
A very big thank you to Marietta Diaconescu for the beautiful altar table cloth she made for the altar at our new location which we all admired last week and for weeks to come.

Last Sunday we celebrated a beautiful Divine Liturgy together with Fr Nick and the St George Greek Orthodox Church community who have been our hosts for the last 1.5 years. It was a moving event and Fr. Nick was presented with a hand painted icon of the church’s patron saint, Holy and Great Martyr George the Victory Bearer and a bouquet of flowers presented to him by Stefan and Alexandru Cordas. The Coffee Hour following was sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of both churches.
This week the Holy Bread was sponsored by Elena Cristea and made by Vasilica Stilu, for the Good Health of their families.
Fr Vincentiu will be available for confession from 1:00pm- 6:00pm at our new church in Fairfield.
After our celebrating our Divine Liturgy at 10:30am, we will be having our First Annual St. Nicholas Fish Dinner at 1pm at the Norwalk Inn at 99 East Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851.

After the service, the Ionescu family will have 40 days parastas for Letitia Viorica Neagu.
A final event for the close of the year is currently being finalized by Paul Mihai and others. It will be a catered event with the location to be determined.
We were blessed to have Fr. Cornell share some words on such a special day.
Fr. Vincentiu shares some words to a full house inside our beautiful, historic sanctuary.
Named after St Dumitru Basarobov the patron Saint of Bucharest. Saturday, November 4th was a beautiful fall day with around 150 people and 10 priests in attendance including His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae who honored us with his presence. The Metropolitan reminded us of the life and death of saint we were celebrating as well as the importance of the church in the lives of our children, grandchildren, godchildren, nieces & nephews, who follow by example.
We had a great turnout for the event and we would like to thank all of those who made the trip to Middletown.
You came, you ate, you donated and you danced, and you danced, and you danced some more! We renewed old friendships and made new ones… and we all just had a great time! That it was a HUGE SUCCESS cannot be denied but could not have been realized without you, your friends and families!
We started the day with a lovely outdoor Holy Liturgy celebration beautifully served by Fr. Vincentiu and a full choir in the morning followed by the event itself. We were blessed with great weather and the presence of Fr. Cornel, Fr Peter and Fr Patrick.
We are TRULY HUMBLED by your devotion and support the St. Brancoveni Romanian Orthodox Church!
In case you forgot what it looked like…
St. Brancoveni ROC “We Are Family – Suntem o Familie” t-shirts will be available for pre-order over the next few weeks to celebrate our church’s journey thus far. A signup sheet will be available at the candle table and we will look to submit our first order in the next month or so.
